Hello.
I’m Jeff Elkins. My books blend my passion for diversity, living in an urban setting, and great conversations, with supernatural, plot-twisting, fast-paced storytelling. I love giving diverse heroes a voice, making readers laugh, and telling stories that keep readers guessing.
While I’ve loved reading since I was a child, I never dreamed of being a writer. Telling stories was a happy accident I stumbled into. I started writing fiction in the form of short-stories in 2013 at the age of thirty-five. I founded Short Fiction Break, an online journal for short stories, but didn’t find the courage to publish my first novel until 2015.
For my day job, I work as head of a writing team for a simulation company. I have a Masters of Divinity degree from Truett Seminary and a Bachelors Degree from Baylor University. I live outside of Baltimore, Maryland in the United States with my wife and five children.
